  1. What is SCSEP?
    SCSEP stands for the Senior Community Service Employment program. It provides job training and placement for people with limited financial resources who are age 55 or older.
  2. Where do participants train?
    You will be placed with a nonprofit agency in a part-time paid job training position, such as a library, school, community center or social service organization.
  3. How long can I remain on the program?
    48 months is the duration of the program.
  4. How do I enroll in the program?

  6. Can I participate if I have another job?
    You cannot be holding another job while participating in SCSEP.
  7. Will I have to pay taxes on my earnings?
    Yes, your earnings are taxable.
  8. Do I receive help in eventually finding an unsubsidized job?
    Yes, job developers are available to assist you.
  9. As a participant, what happens if I don%uFFFDt get my time sheet in on time?
    It will be combined with the next pay period%uFFFDs payroll.
  10. How many hours a week would I be in my job training?
    You would participate up to 20 hours a week.
  11. As a participant, can I receive paid sick leave?
    Yes, QCS will pay participants for no more than 12 sick days a year with a note from a medical worker.
