Dislocated Worker Program
Quality Career Services has over 22 years of experience counseling, training, and placing dislocated workers in new jobs. We are a State certified dislocated worker provider and help people get back to work after they have been permanently laid off from their jobs. Quality Career Services is funded by the Minnesota Workforce Development Fund and the U. S. Department of Labor.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
- When you call our office during regular office hours you will be greeted by a friendly human voice. (Office hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.)
- We are the only Dislocated Worker Program with Networking Contacts, informational interviews with experts in your area of career focus.
- You can begin computer training at any time in our Computer Lab. Quality Career Service is unique among Dislocated Worker providers in employing a full-time computer instructor.
- There is no delay between enrollment and getting a training plan in place. You do not have to get on a waiting list to see a counselor about your training plan.
HOW TO QUALIFY FOR DISLOCATED WORKER SERVICES
You qualify for services if:
- You have been permanently laid off because your employer went out of business, was bought by another company, merged with another company, closed your department, eliminated your position, etc. AND
- You are eligible to receive re-employment (unemployment) benefits AND
- It is unlikely that another employer will hire you to do the same work you were doing when you were laid off.
If this sounds like what happened to you and you want to enroll for services, call us at 651-647-9322.
We will arrange for you to come in to our office to complete registration paperwork and to speak with a career counselor.
