Computer Lab

The computer lab is open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

If your interest is learning how to use computers, we want you to know that we tailor the instruction to fit your needs. We are experienced in working with people who have absolutely no prior computer experience, as well as those who do. Our computer lab is self-paced, individualized instruction.  Quality Career Services has a full time Teacher.

An orientation session is required before you may begin using the lab. Orientaion sessions: Monday and Fridays at 9:00 AM or Wednesday at 2:30 PM.

We have 15 high-end Pentium computers running the following software on Windows XP

Vista, and a Mac OS10 Tiger OS, all computers have internet, T1 line.:

 

  • MS Office 2000, XP, 2003, and 2007: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Front Page,Office Small Business Tools, Project, Visio
  • Desktop Publishing & Web Design: Adobe PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop,Acrobat,   Image Ready, Quark X-Press, Adobe Go Live CSII, Dreamweaver, Flash, Freehand, and Fireworks
  • Accounting: QuickBooks Pro, Peachtree Accounting.
  • Reports: Crystal Reports 9
  • Keyboarding: Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing
  • SAM (Skills Assessment Manager) Office 2000 and 2003.

Assess level of proficiency at core and expert levels in Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.

 

Each computer has access to a network printer. 

All computers have access to high-speed Internet. We encourage you to use them to look for jobs and to create your resume and cover letters.
